About the desk

At Your Door started as a private note file. A friend had spent three weeks arguing with an operator about a withdrawal, and the whole argument turned on one sentence in the terms that had been available the entire time, on a page nobody reads. The note file became a habit: before playing anywhere, check five things, write down what you found, keep the screenshot.

This site is new. It publishes the method first and the results as they are run, rather than arriving with a back catalogue of reviews nobody watched being written — which is also why there is a date on everything and no claim to a track record we have not earned yet.

The site is that habit, published. It is small on purpose. There is no listings section, no comparison engine and no ranking, because the moment a site starts sorting operators into an order it starts needing a number, and the number is where the honesty goes.

What this site is

• A published method — the five checks — that anyone can run themselves before depositing.
• Notes on what those checks turn up, with the evidence and the date attached.
• Plain-language explanations of the terms that decide whether money comes back out.

What this site is not

• Not a gambling operator. You cannot place a bet here, deposit here or hold an account here. We do not take stakes and we never handle player funds.
• Not a licensing authority. We read public registers. We do not vouch for anyone, and a passed check is a description of one moment in time, not a guarantee.
• Not free of commercial interest. Some outbound links earn a commission. See the affiliate disclosure, which is linked from the footer of every page for that reason.

Licensing and compliance

At Your Door is an independent publisher based in Ireland. A publisher writing about gambling is not itself a licensable gambling activity, so this site holds no gambling licence and does not claim one; what it does carry is the obligation to be accurate and to keep gambling advertising away from people who should not see it.

In practice that means: an 18+ notice on every page, no material aimed at under-eighteens, no claim that gambling solves money problems, and no bonus offer presented without the terms that govern it. Where we write about an operator, we check the licence claim in the register of the authority named — the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, the UK Gambling Commission, the Malta Gaming Authority or the Curaçao Gaming Authority, depending on the claim — and we say which register we looked in.

How it pays for itself

Affiliate commission on some outbound links, and nothing else. There is no advertising, no sponsored placement, no paid review and no arrangement in which an operator sees a page before it is published. Where a page contains a commercial link, it says so on the page. Where a check fails, the page says that too, commercial link or not — a method that bends for revenue is not a method, it is a price list.
