The short version: this site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, embeds nothing from anyone else, and has no accounts, no forms and no newsletter. Reading it leaves the same trace as reading any web page — a line in a server log — and nothing more.

There is no third row. No profiling, no advertising identifiers, no data sold or shared with anyone for marketing.
Cookies
None are set by this site. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Our content delivery network may set a strictly necessary cookie for security and fraud prevention; it carries no personal profile and cannot be used to track you across other sites.
Links to gambling operators
Following an outbound link takes you to a company with its own privacy policy, its own cookies and its own data practices, none of which we control. Where a link is an affiliate link, the operator may record that the visit came from here — typically as a reference code in the address, not as anything identifying you. See the affiliate disclosure.
Legal basis and your rights
Under the GDPR, the legal basis for the server log is legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure; for email, it is the legitimate interest of answering the person who wrote to us. You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to the processing, by writing to the desk. There is no charge and we answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it and the previous version is available on request. A change that widens what is collected will be flagged on the home page as well.
